How the numbers are made
Methodology
Each reference carries two views. The index is a 36-month asking-price path, scaled so the latest point equals the median ask in the snapshot. The list is a set of individual asks spread across condition, year, and seller type.
Asks are labeled by marketplace: Chrono24, Watchfinder, Bezel, Carousell Hong Kong, Carousell Singapore, Chronext, eBay, and The 1916 Company. They are not a claim that a specific serial is still for sale. The outbound link runs that marketplace’s search for the brand and reference so you can see what is actually listed today.
Everything on the desk is shown in US dollars. That is a comparison unit. It is not a promise about the currency, tax, or shipping on the seller’s invoice.
Box, papers, and condition move the ask inside the snapshot on purpose. An unworn full set is not averaged into a watch-only price and then hidden. Both stay visible.
Google Analytics 4 is wired for this site and stays off until a measurement ID is configured for the deployment. No hits are sent before that. It records page views, searches are ordinary page URLs, and outbound clicks are events. It is not used to sell watches.
Questions
- Are these live prices?
- No. The figures are a compiled September 2026 snapshot of asking prices, shown in US dollars so desks can share one scale. The marketplace page is the live price.
- Why does the chart not match the lowest ask?
- The chart is a monthly index scaled to the median ask. The list underneath is individual asks. A private seller can sit under the index without moving the whole month.
- Do you buy or ship the watch?
- No. View on Chrono24, Watchfinder, Bezel, Carousell, or another desk opens that site’s search for the reference. You deal with that seller.
- What currency is a target?
- US dollars, the same unit as the snapshot. A seller in Hong Kong or Singapore may list in HKD or SGD. Convert again on their page before you pay.
- When does an alert send?
- When the lowest ask is at or under your target. The letter is addressed to your account email and kept in your alerts inbox. Updating the target allows a new letter.
